February 2026 meeting

Jan 31, 2026

Nambucca Valley Women’s Business Network is proud to present Ljubov Simson, farmer and business woman as our guest speaker for the February breakfast meeting.

Luby will be talking about the circle of influence we have – what we can change and what we can’t – which is of particular potency in these times.

“At this point in time, reflecting on our spheres of influence and personal privilege reminds us that we can effect local positive change whilst fostering stewardship to all aspects of life”.

Ljubov arrived in Australia with her parents as a refugee from Czech Republic in the Prague Spring.

As a mother, carer, farmer, businesswoman and educator Ljubov is committed to supporting sustainability through stewardship of all the resources within the Nambucca Valley – the health and well-being of the community, the land and its people.

Fascinated by the Sciences and plants at a young age, she studied at the Australian National University (ANU), specialising as a cancer immunologist and in 2017 designed and implemented an Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access Framework (IDEA) by which all work at ANU is now evaluated.

Since choosing to move to the Nambucca Valley in 2019 she has established a small-scale regenerative beef grazing and horticultural business focused on local bush foods, and was elected as a Councillor for the Nambucca Valley Council in 2024.

In August 2025 Ljubov co-founded the Nambucca Valley Growers and Producers Association (NVGPA) which already supports membership of over 40 local farming enterprises.
